Arriva Shipping Polska is entered in the register of employment agencies under number 11189 and always operates in accordance with the requirements of the MLC 2006 convention.
- Arriva Shipping Polska does not charge seafarers any direct or indirect fees related to the recruitment process.
- Arriva Shipping Polska does not employ any persons under 18 years of age.
- We do not engage in any activity that could undermine a seafarer’s right to employment and professional development, and we ensure that all seafarers’ personal data remains confidential.
- All seafarers are treated equally, regardless of colour, religion, gender or social origin. Recruitment is free from discrimination or prejudice.
- We inform seafarers of any costs they may incur during recruitment or travel to the vessel. Such costs are reimbursed by the shipowner.
- All persons taking part in recruitment must undergo the necessary medical examinations and hold a valid medical certificate.
- All employed seafarers are trained and qualified and hold all required documents. All certificates and documents are checked to confirm their validity.
- We inform seafarers of their rights and obligations under the employment agreement. Seafarers have adequate time to review the terms and receive a copy of the signed agreement.
- We maintain a complaints procedure that is compliant with the MLC 2006 convention.
- We provide seafarers and their families with free, immediate and reliable information.
- We provide a 24-hour emergency contact line +48 728 811 330 for employed seafarers and their families.
- We cooperate only with shipowners and clients who meet the requirements of the MLC 2006 convention.
- We provide seafarers with all necessary travel information before the journey begins.
- We check seafarers’ references by contacting the person whose contact details were provided by the seafarer.
- The seafarer’s employment agreement complies with applicable regulations, MLC requirements and the relevant collective agreement. Copies of documents are available on board in English.
Employment agreement
The employment agreement is signed between the seafarer and Arriva Shipping Polska, acting as a crewing agent on behalf of the shipowner.
